About My Show:
Baraza – Known for a gathering or meeting in Swahili, Baraza Musiq was founded on the idea of
an assembly: a place where we all learn together and share a new experience as a unit. We
provide a space for individuals to experience a higher vibration, allowing people to see the light
within themselves and others through our music & events.
About me:
Philly raised & Austin based, DJ Ferno is a DJ, producer, & leading-edge who thrives on
storytelling through music. With 2 decades of experience, Ferno discovered his gift and
created a sound where his musical tastes – house, deep house, disco-house, Afro-house,
tribal, and hip hop could all intersect. His career took off in 2011 – Making a name for himself
as an open format DJ, he caught the eyes of the iconic & inventive DJ Jazzy Jeff. His
noteworthy point of view has given him opportunities to curate dance floors from Dubai to
Southeast Asia, Tulum & every corner of Europe. After years of touring the globe, he
discovered more intricate melodic harmonies – specifically rooted in Afro-House/ Techno
and from there he decided to jump full steam into the world of house music.
In 2020, DJ Ferno released his first house single, Watching You, released by Exemplary
Music Makerz. The single instantly gained traction from top-tier DJs like four-time Grammy
nominated musical genius, Kenny Dope, to the infamous A-Track playing it on Beatport.
Topping the charts at #9 on TraxSource & #22 on the “Weekend Weapon” list, the single is
funky, fresh, & always gets any dance floor grooving. In addition to releasing Watching You,
he appeared on multiple streams: Sanitize Your Soul with Terry Hunter, Model Voter Block
Party which featured the late & great Virgil Abloh, & Go DJ Live with Questlove. He has
shared the stage with some of the top house DJs like Black Coffee and Green Velvet to
name a few. Continuing on his house music path, you can expect a handful of singles this
year that get you on the dance floor & most importantly take you on a journey.
